Lauren began her career as a professional in the development industry, working for over 15 years on the design of luxury residential and hotel properties for Tishman Realty in New York City. As Senior Vice President, she managed all aspects of the design, budget, and execution of projects each in excess of $100 million. She brings the same disciplined approach and attention to detail to every client’s home.
Lauren launched her design firm to combine her design expertise and passion for residential spaces. Her approach comes from her multidisciplinary background — designing spaces rooted in architectural principles and traditionalism that are personal and distinctive to each of her clients. Lauren’s goal for every project is to reflect the people who live in the space and guide them through an enjoyable and professional design process. Her clients are busy professionals with full calendars, and Lauren understands what it takes to deliver a dream home in a way that works for them.
Lauren’s unique background sets her apart in the industry. She credits her talent to her education at the New York School of Interior Design, her work with some of the most celebrated architects in the world and her experience creating properties from the ground up. She is accredited in engineering and in sustainable design and is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and US Green Building Council. She also has an Executive MBA from NYU.
On weekends, you will find Lauren and her family around the cobblestone streets of the West Village, where there is no shortage of inspiration.
Meet Lauren
let’s connect
Lauren understands that interior design is a luxury and a significant investment in your home - one that may feel overwhelming. For this reason, she brings the same level of professionalism that she brought to multi-million dollar developments. As the point person for luxury new development projects, she uniquely understands how to run an organized, efficient, and effective process.
As a client, you benefit from 15 years of lessons learned on large scale design projects
Together with clients, Lauren establishes a budget early. She presents a range of “low” and “high” projections and discusses the merits of each investment piece. She then designs with the budget at the forefront and always looks for creative ways to value engineer the project without sacrificing quality. Combined with her industry relationships, the interior design process can result in an overall savings to clients.
Unlike many other designers, Lauren believes that existing pieces help craft a home’s story. She happily incorporates as many as possible into a room scheme and when necessary proposes ways to restore and refresh owned or inherited pieces of furniture, upholstery, art and decor.
